Information we collect

We collect account details, college email verification status, age confirmation, profile and preference information, photos, likes, matches, messages, reports, subscription status, device information, and basic usage events.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, verify college eligibility, recommend matches, deliver messaging, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, respond to reports, improve the product, and communicate service updates.

What other members see

Eligible members may see profile details you choose to share, such as first name, age, campus, major, interests, goals, prompts, and approved photos. We do not display your email address or exact birth date.

Service providers

We use service providers for hosting, authentication, data storage, email delivery, security, analytics, and payment processing. Stripe receives payment information directly; CollegeLoveMatch does not store full card numbers.

Retention and deletion

We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably needed for safety, disputes, legal obligations, and fraud prevention. You may request account deletion, subject to limited required retention.

Security

We use access controls and encrypted connections, but no online system is completely secure. Use a unique password and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your choices

You can update profile information, change notification preferences, block members, report concerns, manage paid subscriptions through Stripe, and request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
