Date with a plan

Before meeting
Take time to talk in the app. Watch for inconsistent stories, pressure, requests for money, or attempts to move you off-platform immediately. Use available profile and college-verification signals without treating them as a guarantee.
Choose a public place
Meet somewhere busy that you know. Arrange your own transportation, keep your phone charged, and avoid sharing your home address until trust has been earned.
Tell someone
Share who you are meeting, where you will be, and when you expect to return. Arrange a check-in with a friend or family member.
Protect your account
Use a unique password and never share verification links, passwords, financial information, or security codes. CollegeLoveMatch support will not ask for your password.
Trust your judgment
You can leave at any time. You do not owe anyone continued conversation, a meeting, physical contact, or an explanation for protecting your safety.
Block and report
Block members to stop contact and report behavior for review. Preserve relevant messages or screenshots when safe to do so. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services.
